Wow: Even Alex Jones Is Slamming Sean Spicer’s Holocaust Comment

(Before It's News)

I’m actually a little shocked.

InfoWars nutter, Alex Jones joined the chorus of mainstream media voices hitting White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer’s unfortunate Hitler comments.

Said Jones:

“What the hell is that from Sean Spicer?” asked Jones, who went on to say the remarks show “how historically ignorant his crew is.”

The Infowars host attempted to explain Spicer’s quote by saying the spokesman “meant, like, not dropping gas on people.”

“[The Nazis] used chemical weapons in World War II,” Jones explained to his viewers.

Ok. I’ll say it (because I know I’m not the only one thinking it): I didn’t think InfoWars followers believed or cared about the monstrous acts of Hitler’s Nazi regime.

I’d be perfectly willing to give ‘ol Spicey a break, but this was really a monumental stumble.

While he was attempting to explain to the press the administration’s position on the recent tomahawk strike against Syria, he let loose this doozy:

“We did not use chemical weapons in World War II. You had someone as despicable as Hitler who did not even sink to using chemical weapons,” Spicer said. “If you are Russia, ask yourself, is this a country and regime that you want to align yourself with?”

Dude.

Gas chambers.

Haven’t you ever seen “The Boy in the Striped Pajamas,” “Schindler’s List,” or “The Pianist”?

Or maybe just watch footage of the Nuremberg Trials. It’s out there, and it is as fascinating as it is horrifying.

Spicer did try to smooth over his statements.

“In no way was I trying to lessen the horrendous nature of the Holocaust,” the spokesman said.

“I was trying to draw a distinction of the tactic of using airplanes to drop chemical weapons on population centers. Any attack on innocent people is reprehensible and inexcusable.”

Ok. You know what? Apology accepted.

I do think people are being a little harsh, but maybe next time, as press secretary, Spicer should take the time to breathe, gather his thoughts, and then carefully speak.

He’s not very strong under pressure.
