new CCC,WPA work projects needed to create jobs
with all the talk about helping the middle classes with bailouts cash checks in the mail,etc,what all need to consider in both parties and in congress is we all need federal and state cooperation to make it happen and distribute money thru viable programs and channels one of which dissapeared in the early eighties called CETA OR “CALIFORNIA COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING ACT”
THIS WAS A VERY EFFECTIVE PROGRAM FOR TRAINING PEOPLE WITHOUT JOBS THAT WANTED GOOD JOBS AFTER A 90 DAY PROBATION PERIOD. THESE WERE JOBS WITH THE STATE AND COUNTY SUCH AS FORESTRY,PARKS,POLICE AGENCY,ETC,WHERE YOU WORKED AT A LESSER WAGE(maybe only part time) WITHOUT BENEFEITS(ON THE JOB TRAINING)TO BE BROUGHT INTO THAT AGENCIES SYSTEM LATER. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT REIMBERSED THE COUNTIES AND STATES INVOLVED WITH FUNDING.
THIS WAS A VERY EFFECTIVE PROGRAM AND WAS CANCELLED DUREING THE FIASCO OF THE HIGH HOME INTERST AND ECONOMIC RATES OF THE CARTER ADMINISTRATION….ONE OF THE FIRST AND ONLY REAL MISTAKE OF THE REAGAN ERA WAS TO LET IT GO DOWN THE TUBES IN THEIR OWN ECONOMIC BOOSTS TO THE LARGE BUSINESSES OF THE ERA. IF THE DEMOCRATS AND THE REPUBLICANS COULD REINTRODUCE PLANS SUCH AS THIS INSTEAD OF BAILING OUT LARGE BANKS WITH ALL THAT FEDERAL MONEY WE COULD HAVE A TRULY INTEGRATED AND WORTHY PLAN FOR MIDDLE AND UNDERCLASS MINIMUM WAGE EARNERS THAT WOULD GIVE THEM JOBS WITH MAXIMUM INTEGRITY AND A LIVEING WAGE AND MORE CONFIDENCE IN OUR SYSTEM!
california was way ahead of the curve under these programs before the giveaway artists and social welfare agencies wreaked havoc by allowing more illegal immigrants to take advantage of the low wage service industries at the expense of these programs, and the reagan federal experts felt big buisness should be allowed less taxes and more loopholes to do so.
