I’m Not a Conspiracy Believer, But…

Yesterday I was having lunch with a friend when the conversation took an unexpected turn. My friend, a very bright, logical scientist started talking about the conspiracies that bother him the most. Here's a quick summary of the dialog
"I'm not a conspiracy believer, but there are events that bother me, events that seem massively improbably."
"Like what?"
"For example, President Obama's rise from an unknown state senator to a barely known US Senator to beating out established, nationally-recognized, well-funded candidates. I'm not a birther and I'm 100% certain that he was born in Hawaii, but an unknown who becomes the most powerful person in the world in a few years seems massively improbable."
"Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton had similar rises. Both went from being virtually unknown governors to president. No conspiracy here."
"The moon landing. In just 66 years, Americans went from a powered glider to landing on the moon, a dream of mankind for millennia but haven't returned in 40 years. Meanwhile the Chinese are taking forever to get there. I'm not saying we didn't make it there, but I find it highly improbably that we could do in the 60's what the Chinese can't do today?"
"The moon landing is one of the humanity's greatest accomplishments but soon after we made it to the moon we slashed NASA's budget and political leaders questioned why America should invest in manned space exploration. As for the Chinese, they have a much longer term vision of space exploration – they aren't simply trying to make it to the moon to prove that they can. Once a Chinese flag is planted on the moon, Americans will start panicking about how we are decades behind in the space race and how the Chinese will be the first on Mars. This is a combination of politics, economics and vision, but no conspiracy here."
"Kennedy assassination. I just don't think Lee Harvey Oswald could have been the only person involved. And the fact that Oswald was immediately killed by Jack Ruby makes it even more suspicious. It's as if Americans need very simple answers when the world is more complicated. You have to admit, it is highly improbable that no one else was involved but the Warren Commission sure tried to make it seem that simple."
"Highly improbable. What else is on your list?"
"Iran Contra. How is it possible that George Bush, the Vice-President of the United States, the former director of the CIA knew nothing about Iran Contra? The fact that he handed out of all those pardons later makes his self-professed ignorance even more suspicious. Seems massively improbable to me."
"Not sure if that counts as a conspiracy or just good old fashion slander but yes, Bush being completely out of the loop on Iran Contra seems improbable."
"September 11th. No I am not one of those people who thinks that the government knew about it and let it happen. I don't think it was a plot by Israel. But I am bothered by 7 World Trade Center collapsing. How does a steel building, a building that did not get hit by the airplanes, collapse? Does the uncontrolled fire explanation make sense to you?"
I shrugged my shoulders. I personally knew people who died that day. Brave firefighters, people I grew up with, sacrificed their lives trying to save others.
Firefighters recognized that afternoon that 7 World Trade Center was unstable and evacuated it before it collapsed. I am familiar with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) report's explanation and have heard plenty of conspiracy theories as well. The official report had left me unsatisfied but I recognize that I am not a structural engineer.
I paused, then finally asked, "Ever wonder how improbable it is that the two of us were born at all and are alive now to discuss these other improbable things?"
Since you are not an architect, why not look up Richard Gage and Architects for 9/11 Truth. More than 1500 of them have staked their professional reputations on the fact that it was and is physically impossible for either WTC # 1,2 and 7 to have fallen the way they did; the first two from jet airplane strikes (both buildings were designed to handle MULTIPLE airliner impacts) and building # 7 from debris from the first two WTCs.
If you are not a conspiracy theorist when you finish reading the evidence of obfuscation and cover-up on this website, then you simply cannot see the Elephant in the Living Room.

there is NO evidence to support the official version of events of 911, yet there is a growing mountain of evidence that proves beyond reasonable doubt that 911 did not happen the way they say it did.
which is exactly why there has never been an independent unfettered transparent investigation with subpoena power. the fact is, the case would be proven that the official version, is nothing but a fairy tale.

the official version of events 911, is by definition, a conspiracy theory. ergo, if you believe the official version, youre a conspiracy theorist.
people try to label those who simply state that the official version doesnt not stand up to even the slightest scrutiny, as “kooky conspiracy theorists”
trouble is when you do that, you most likely will end up with egg all over your stupid face..
