Poor White Peope are Mighty Entertaining: Donald Trump and the Hillbilly Problem

While talking with Malcolm Nance last week, I joked about the new genre of anthropological writing which focuses on the “white working class” and “hillbillies” who support Donald Trump. As Elizabeth Catte points out in a new essay (she is cool folks and will be a guest on my podcast in the future) in many ways this is a narrative in search of the facts. White folks in Appalachia and other parts of rural America are caricatures–derided as toothless wonders and meth heads–and scapegoats for how white folks across lines of class elected the fascist Donald Trump.
Nevertheless, there remains the question, “Why do white and working class voters consistently support Republican candidates who actually hurt their economic livelihoods?” The answer should not be a riddle. The psychological wages of whiteness are great. These voters are making a choice based on “cultural values”. These voters like to hurt other Americans and convince themselves that they are noble while doing so. The money is in the riddle and making the known into the unknown. Consequently, you will rarely if ever see the mainstream American corporate news media state those facts plainly.

What to do when the granular details and sentiments expressed by a writer–as in the case of Frank Rich who wants Trump trash to stay on their highway to hell–are correct but the big picture they paint is not?

Without the White class people which is Israel ( lost 10 tribes which GOD said is HIS chosen ) the world would be 2nd and 3rd class citizens . Whites are organizers . The American whites have gone into other countries and taught them how to farm , build , learn and teach , make governments and take care of their people . The biggest problem as of late was that the squeaking wheel ( complainers ) kind of haulted the thinking process . While trying to make everyone happy the Whites took the vehicle out of gear and began setting idoly by trying to figure what could be done to solve the problems ( which was many ) . In the mean while the democrats which are known for giving away everything they can get their hands on , or what seems like giving it all away , in the mean time they are stuffing their pockets because they know no one is looking , because they are to busy trying to get another hand out program going for them . What took place in this give away or steal away program drove America into the greatest debt , a debt greater than all the presidents put together have made . A debt so horrible that it may clasp our economy . But then a White organized man named Trump steps up and wins the common sense thinking people and storms the White House . An upset like never before in the history of America . Then because if his great organized thinking the stock market takes off booming . The federal reserve which is not an Anerican entity hates this so they are in hopes to slow down or crash the economy . But I am in hope Trump will crash the federal reserve and coin our Own American system again like our Constitution tells us to do . I believe White people wrote that thing too ! America was the greatest nation on earth before the nut case Muslim too office . Now a White man has to try and patch up the system and get it running again . What a mess this scum bucket created . He had almost all nation on earth hating America . He gave away $20,000,000,000,000.00 . Now 49% of the American people are sucking the life out of the 52% that are trying to hold up the system . The White man Trump has created jobs , but the lazy ass people that got into the give away program now does not want to go back to work . This means their free food , drugs , and aid will come to an end . So they march in the streets destroying other White people’s businesses . Maybe the White people need to get together and build a big enough boat and put them on it and shove them all out to sea . This includes all those that hate America and its system . Many promised to leave once Trump got into office . But the idiots are still here ! Darn when will White people ever get any peace ? We are getting so tired of propping up the rest of the world and people and no one every seems to appreciate what we have done for them . If we pull back they will retreat back to their past conditions , this is a proven fact ! They need us to help them maintain a quality part of their lives . Why do you think all other nationalities try to get under the wings of the White man ? They like the benefits !
