I often get the opportunity to speak with people who truly have no idea why the Second Amendment is a part of the U.S. Constitution. The Second Amendment is not just an amendment that allows people to own firearms. The Second Amendment goes hand-in-hand with the First Amendment by allowing the citizens the capability to maintain liberties and freedom.
So for those of you who are really curious, please do yourselves a favor by doing some research into the actual statistics of cities that disallow firearms against the cities that allow concealed carry. Then do yourselves a favor and look up the government requirements in Switzerland for every citizen.
Criminals and disturbed adults and children will at times break the laws or worse. There is a fact throughout the course of history that when people are disarmed the government will initiate more governmental controls upon its populace. It is a fact that once you disarm the citizens then governments take over because firearms are always just the first thing to go before many other liberties are taken away.
Currently in the United States of America the first, second, third and fifth amendments are currently being taken away with your approval according to Obama. This tyranny must not be encouraged to proceed any further.
