Big Brother Is Not Looking Out for You
“Your spiritual predispositions and ideals are being greatly manipulated at this time. There are entire teachings being introduced into the world now that teach human acquiescence and the suspension of critical abilities and value only that which is pleasurable and comfortable. These teachings are given to disable people’s ability to access Knowledge within themselves until people reach a point where they feel they are completely dependent upon greater forces that they cannot identify. At that point, they will follow whatever is given them to do, and even if they sense something is wrong, they will no longer have the power to resist.”
We are looking in the wrong direction and sending the wrong message to the universe.
Stephen Hawking is admirable, not merely for his earlier, prescient views about life in the universe, where he notes the comparison with the history of native peoples on Earth. His reversal now on the merits of broadcasting into space ignores the widespread evidence of the alien presence already in our world, and so he misses the begging question, why is the presence kept secret?

Kudos for Hawking to have concern about the content of the message sent out, yet we continuously and blindly broadcast the equivalent of a brain dump out into space. Either with Hawking we think we are alone — forgetting that we do not know if we are being watched — or we are making assumptions that the entire universe is friendly, harmless? How could we have neglected to consider that not everyone is seeking our best interest, that we could be like ants or cattle to observers?
Look, we humans know how we treat one another and know better than to trust everyone we might meet. Yet many do not apply that same reticence towards entities unknown.

How is it that we have so completely shut down our defenses, if not influenced by those who want our defenses down?
Distracted by spritual baubles we will forget to protect our own interests. Weakened by the degradation of the planet we will want to grasp for any available assistance, especially when it proffers what we want to hear.

This hope for rescue from beyond reflects an ancient confusion of Heaven with the stars.
