(Before It's News)

In 1968 Sharpsville, Indiana’s Bud Alderson wanted to do two things – recognize deserving 4-H horse/pony members and generate exposure for the Indiana Quarter Horse Association.  From there Alderson created the IQHA Horse Award.  The award presents a Quarter Horse to one deserving 4-H member from Indiana each year.

The 2012 IQHA Horse Award recipient was 16 year old Haley Fox of Bloomington, Ind.
