Driving south from Bodega Bay last night, 26th Oct. Stopped at Andy’s Liquors on Hwy 12 about a quarter to ten for a bag of munchies and was using the pay phone outside the place—-overheard a teen couple rapping with a local skater about how they were trying to get somebody to buy them alcohol. Later inside the store I recognized a guy I knew from the hood was at the counter making a purchase. He shot out the door before I could warn him.
Paid for my cup of brew and grubs and headed out the door. I caught up with him just after he’d set the large bag with the booze in it on the sidewalk right in front of the entrance of the abandoned Patty’s bar & grill. I said, “John, I knew bigger than …..” Before I could finish the sentence we were both surrounded by four khaki lackeys with maglites. They ordered John to “get his hands up” and “get on the ground.” I figured they were planning to bust me too as an “accomplice to contributing” and was preparing to defend myself against a false accusation and lawyer up but one of the counties just simply told me to “move on”. End of report pretty much. This whole elephant & pony routine was in flat violation of XVIII USC 241, 242 and I’ve decided to run the full battle colors up the mast on this one. This is no more than a brainlessly vindictive waste of our tax bucks and standard bill o’ fare for the ABC—-Anti-Booze Commissariat of Californicate
The State of California has the most suck economy of the entire country right now and money is tighter than the E string on a jazz guitar. Funds are being ruthlessly stripped from every program from pot hole filling to parks…so why was the State Alcoholic Beverage Control suddenly—and right in the midst of all these cutbacks——granted all this lavish funding for no better purpose than to hire teen trash decoys to pose as adults in the liquor store check-out lines between the hours of 3-5 p.m. on Friday afternoon when the stores do their heaviest volume knowing that even the best booze clerk is occasionally going to misread a number? This sucks elephant wind and is all too typical of the pig state this country has degenerated into while gleefully making of the Constitution a dead letter….end of rant.
