From the Vault: A Wall Street Sales Tax: It is Only Fair

Well some of us don’t have to pay as many taxes, like the super rich.
The Financial Elite don’t even have to pay sales taxes on their financial transactions. The poor and everybody else have to pay sales taxes on their purchases.
Is that fair?
We all have to pay sales taxes when we purchase something. But it is not only fair to make Wall Street pay a sales tax on their bankster trades. It would bring in trillions of dollars a year and then we wouldn’t have a budget crisis.
Also, we could end the wars in the Middle East and gain a savings of many more trillions of dollars. We could also put tariffs on goods coming in from nations that allow sweat shop labor and exploitation of their people. This would bring manufacturing jobs back into this country and put people back to work so that they can become pay more in taxes. This would make for a booming economy here in the US and all could benefit and not just the top One Percent
There is a lot we can do.
But for now, we can at least make the Wall Street Criminals that crashed the world economy pay a sales tax.
After all, it is only fair.
