(Before It's News)

Actual poll will take place on election day

A district-wide poll released last evening shows the race between Arizona Senate President Russell Pearce and Jerry Lewis to be within the margin of error, making it too close to call.  The survey was commissioned by the Arizona Capitol Times and ABC15 News. The November 1 poll was conducted by autodialer among 598 likely voters –  including Democrats and the politically unaffiliated in this Republican race.

With just days preceding the historic November 8 recall, Lewis is said to hold a three-point lead, 46 – 43 percent over Pearce. Early ballots are reportedly being received at a brisk pace.

Approximately 66 percent of those polled identified themselves as Republicans, about 24 percent as Democrats, and 5.4 percent said they were Independents, according to ABC15.

Sen. Russell Pearce is being targeted by the left-wing’s big guns: MoveOn.org, AFL-CIO, SEIU, Common Cause, Progressive Democrats of Arizona, the National Education Association, several Democrat Party committees in Arizona, trial lawyers, immigration attorneys and other liberal groups from across the country. These groups have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to remove Pearce in Legislative District 18, where he has ably represented his constituents since 2000. The money is being funneled into unidentified Independent Expenditure campaigns as a means of unseating Pearce.

Recruited candidate Jerry Lewis, has served as a convenient front-man for these liberal special interest groups. He has mounted a recall challenge to Sen. Pearce in advance of a regularly scheduled election in a muscle-flexing action intended to shut down opposition to the illegal invasion of the U.S.  Sen. Pearce was the architect of the now nationally emulated SB 1070.

Pearce’s positions on the myriad of issues facing our state can be seen here. This American patriot, who has dedicated his life to public service, has a wide-ranging list of supporters and friends.

Time is of the essence.  Volunteer to help this good man this weekend. Join Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Republican Party Chairman Tom Morrissey and members of the Arizona Senate and House for a “Get Out the Vote Walk” at Mesa High School parking lot this Saturday November 5 at 9:00 a.m. Instructions will be provided, along with walking lists, water and snacks.
