The NDAA takes effect today.

Many on Twitter and Facebook freaked out last night, for lack of a better description.

But wait… Obama signed a new "policy directive" which fixes the problem, right? Well, actually no. Don't fall for the PR ploy.

As RT explained yesterday, "The signing could indeed bring a cease to the requirement of military detainment for alleged adversaries of America, a requirement that is authorized under Section 1022 of the act. It does not, however, squash the indefinite detention without trial provision of Section 1021, nor does it negate the fact that the US government has already allowed itself to approve a nasty legislation that denounces the civil liberties of every American and has marred the administration of a president who campaigned on upholding constitutional rights."

More details in my RT America appearance from earlier this afternoon, which you can watch below.

Also, if you're concerned about NDAA and want to help reverse it, stopndaa.org is an excellent resource — that's the web site of the lawsuit(s) and restraining order to block NDAA, which has the support of Pulitzer-winning journalist Chris Hedges and Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg, among other influential figures. And belligerentact.org is another great resource, it appears, for learning more about NDAA and spreading the word to your family and friends (as the mainstream media refuses to cover NDAA in-depth).

Finally, if you want to keep my independent reporting of NDAA, HR347, HR1981, and other critical issues going, please contribute to our Kickstarter fund. It makes a real difference and allows my team to devote greater resources to covering these topics.

  • So, since Sheriff Joe Arpaio has clearly demonstrated with expert testimony from expert witnesses that the Birth Certificate which Obama disseminated from the White House is a computer generated forgery, and his selective service card is also a complete forgery, has Obama cooked his own goose and will he just, poof, disappear in the night?

  • NOT in Virginia, he can’t!!!!! Not only has the Va Legislature made both Au & Ag Legal tender in the State, it has also passes legislation that the specific provision of the NDAA that allows FEDGOVCO to “dissapear” individuals, is now against Va Law, and will not be allowed to happen there!!!! GO VIRGINIA!!!!!
