Neighbors living near a home where two people were discovered murdered Sunday afternoon said Monday they were shocked by the crimes, which occurred in a quiet development full of brick homes and neatly maintained gardens.
“I just can’t wrap my head around it,” said neighbor Liz Heffernen, 50.
Many residents said the 10-year-old development has been relatively serene. In the past year, that quiet has been partially broken by multiple police calls to the Deann Drive home where Sunday’s murder took place, multiple neighbors said.
The quiet again was broken Sunday as a constant stream of police vehicles and onlookers flowed through, they said.
On Monday, a single police car sat in front of the house, with crime scene tape still surrounding the property.
Multiple neighbors described Isaiah Sweet, the 17 year old now named as a person of interest in murders, as a troubled teen who had fallen in with the wrong crowd after moving to Manchester.
