Jon Coupal of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association figures there’s a good chance not all the tykes bellying up to the free lunch counter are legit poor.
3,000,000 children visit 30,000 sites every day to score a free lunch. No means testing, no screening, no nothing. Who even knows how many not-so-poor kids are sneaking it there to get a free baloney sandwich on Uncle Sam’s tab?
Hey Jon, leave it alone. Ya, you’re right, there’s always somebody in any crowd keen for a free lunch, but look at it this way.
What it’s going to cost you to do means testing on 3,000,000 kids is going to be many times more than the value of a few baloney sandwiches going to the undeserving.
Let it go…
