(Before It's News)

Maricopa County singled out

In an outrageous move, the Obama/Holder politically motivated U.S. Justice Department has announced it will monitor tomorrow’s elections in Maricopa County.  Federal observers will be dispatched “to watch and record activities during voting hours at polling locations” to ensure compliance with the 1965 Voting Rights Act.

“Civil Rights Division attorneys will coordinate the federal activities and maintain contact with local election officials” here in Maricopa County.

This transparent and bizarre action is nothing short of a vendetta against popular Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, with whom the administration has initiated ongoing battles. Arpaio has been reelected to an unprecedented five 4-year terms, and is currently running for reelection.

Read the just released DOJ press notice HERE.

Three small Alabama towns are also included in the monitoring directive: Lanett (population approx. 8,000), Reform (population approx. 2,000), and Phenix City (population approx. 33,000).

We’ve had no problems of minority voter intimidation in Maricopa County. But if members of the New Black Panthers show up at polling places with billy clubs in their hands to intimidate white voters as they did in Philadelphia, will the Justice Department take action against them?  It hasn’t in the past. In fact, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder dismissed cases brought against them.
