The Day The American Flag Fell – Olympic Video
I would say this is very symbolic of what is happening in the U.S. today.
The U.S. flag fell down during the Olympics metals ceremony for Tennis. The U.S. National Anthem was playing. Just as the music would be “And the Flag was still there”, the flag fell off the bar holding it.
That left the flags of Belarus (bronze medalist Victoria Azarenka) and Russia (Sharapova) dangling above the medal podium. The champions shared a laugh on the podium at the unexpected visual.
Was It done on purpose, not a coincidence? Was it sorta a msg taunt for America? Was it done with a little wireless electronic wire connected from inside the bar to the clips holding the flag?
While the whole “destroy the flag if it hits the ground” is an urban myth, the official flag code (via The American Legion) states that “the flag should not touch anything beneath it, including the ground.”

I understand your concern, but notice that someone picked up the flag and held it in their hands to allow it to continue to “wave.” Can we say that this is symbolic, as well? I certainly hope so.

You CAN’T POSSIBLY believe that this was accidental, coincidental timing…” and our flag was still there”…???? The champions shared a laugh? Well, I’ll just bet they did. The US is hated now, as people on this blog clearly show. PLEASE don’t blame us. Can’t you see they are mocking us while they take us down? Don’t you know what happens to us happens to you?
