A group of unknown men killed the driver of a transport truck on the route Zapata-Base and then set it on fire. The body of the victim was completely charred.
The incident occurred around 6:00 pm on Sunday on the Acapulco-Mexico highway up near the pedestrian bridge and the offices of the CTM.
According to early police reports, the gunmen traveled in two luxury vans that blocked the truck with license plates 901 773-E.
The victim was identified as Antonio Ulloa Suastegui. Witnesses to the events said that by standers got terrified and ran to safety while the gunmen burned the unit and others waited in vans with high-powered weapons.
After a call to the Computer Center Command and Control (C-4), Army troops, Federal Police, Ministerial, State and Municipal arrived on the scene.
