Chaos reigns as Dems boo God, Jeer Jerusalem
Usually three strikes means you’re out
In a public relations nightmare, the Democrat convention showed itself to be at odds with a large segment of the voting base, and willing to lie about the results of three floor votes to amend the platform after Obama ordered the changes. Listen to the voice votes — all three of them – and decide whether the motion passed by a two-thirds majority.
Democrat party leadership rammed through the revised platform, which includes updated language identifying Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the mention of God, against the clear wishes of the majority of those voting at the convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Democrat delegates created a public relations spectacle for themselves that even their political opponents couldn’t have envisioned, to coincide with Obama’s arrival in the convention city to claim his party’s nomination for a second term.
Former Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland, an ordained Methodist minister and Platform Committee chairman is not above lying when carrying Obama‘s water. He oversaw the passage of the original platform and now suddenly realizes there is a God.
