A mother and son face attempted homicide and grand theft charges in Pasco after a man they met through an online dating website was severely beaten and robbed on Friday.

Bobbie Jo Curtis, 40, and Bryan Curtis, 16, are charged with unlawful imprisonment, aggravated battery, attempted homicide and grand theft auto, said Doug Tobin, spokesman for the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies are searching for a woman who they say is also involved.

Bobbie Jo Curtis met the 44-year-old victim through singlesnet.com, an online dating site. The victim invited Curtis and her son to live with him at his home, in the 13000 block of Midvale Avenue in New Port Richey, Tobin said.
