So, when the day comes to settle down,
Who’s to blame if you’re not around?
You took the long way home,
You took the long way home…”
Roger Hodgson, “Take the Long Way Home”

I love this song by Roger Hodgson, co-founder of Supertrmap! Thanks for posting! Last year I had the great fortune of seeing Roger perform this song live with an orchestra. It was absolutely beautiful. I am planning to see him again in November in New York with his band. I read a review where the journalist said Roger and his band sound more like Supertramp than Supertramp did! I can tell you, that voice of his sounds even better than it does on my vinyls.
What a thrill it was for me to see my favorite artist perform my favorite songs – The Logical Song, Breakfast in America, Give a Little Bit, Dreamer, Fool’s Overture, and more! I saw on Roger’s Facebook page (http://www.Facebook.com/RogerHodgsonOfficial) that he has many more tour dates coming up this year and is already announcing dates for 2013. Don’t miss out on seeing this incredible artist live!
Take The Long Way Home holds a fundamental message that even when things get rough you need time for yourself to heal. Roger Hodgson’s songs are still loved by younger fans today because of the powerful messages in his songs. When I saw him live it was like he was jamming with his band in my living room! Nothing truly compares to seeing the songwriter and true spirit of Supertramp play the songs we all grew up with like Dreamer, Give a Little Bit, Take the Long Way Home, Logical Song, School, Breakfast in America- so many songs to love!! His voice has only gotten better, richer and fresher since his days in the band. Between songs Roger is very warm, open and real with you, whether making you laugh with a joke or letting you in on the story behind a song. It’s a night of wonderful memories and it is all too clear that Roger is there for the fans and enjoying himself all the while. He has a lot of awesome live footage on his official YouTube channel, check it out here:

There is no way you can miss out on seeing him on tour this time around, I’ll be catching several shows myself!!
