Hoarfrost takes on new meaning at ICE
ICE Chief of Staff Suzanne Barr, though claiming the allegations of her lewd behavior are unfounded, has nonetheless submitted her resignation to Director John Morton, so as not to distract from the “agency’s mission.”
Coddling criminals is some “mission.”
Barr has been on paid leave after news of highly charged sexual misconduct pervading Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) surfaced last month.
Seeing Red AZ has written about Suzanne Barr previously, providing a bit of history on her Arizona background.
Questions about Barr’s inappropriate behavior toward the agency’s employees were first raised in a lawsuit filed by an ICE official against Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano. The lawsuit alleged an atmosphere of discrimination and retaliation, and listed among the complaints that Barr cultivated a “frat-house”-style work environment.

Before becoming chief of staff in January 2009, the Arizona native served in then-Governor Janet Napolitano’s office, working as deputy director and director of legislative affairs.
“The resignation of Suzanne Barr raises the most serious questions about management practices and personnel policies at the Department of Homeland Security,” House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Peter King, (R-NY), said in this statement. U.S. Rep. King said his committee would “intensify” its review of the case and “DHS personnel practices across the board.”
This administration flow chart shows Barr in the second panel, top row. Count on her picture being removed post haste.
