(FEDERALJACK) On this edition of DTRH Popeye welcomes back to the broadcast Mike Vail. The two of them go over Hurricane Sandy but from an aspect not many were looking at it from. This storm served as a warning to how dis-info and mis-info can be spread like wildfire through social media like Twitter and Facebook. There were allot of fake photos and wrongly labeled photos flying around as the storm hit causing allot of misconceptions about what was going on. World events have become info-tainment because of instant access to information with the internet and the proliferation of social media. Popeye and Mike urge people to help those who have lost everything due to the storm in real ways like in the form of food, water, supplies, clothes, services or even a place to stay instead of donating money to big name charities like the Red Cross… as Popeye says “throw some humanity at the problem instead of throwing cash at the problem.” Mike reminds everyone about George W. Bush and Bill Clinton with “just send your cash” when it came to the massive earthquake in Haiti a few years ago and the fact that not a dime ever made it to the people in need. They also go over humanity as a whole, other life besides humans, karmic debt and more. This is a powerful broadcast don’t miss it.
