YouTuber “thearticulategrunt” has provided an excellent quick overview of Greece’s the Golden Dawn Party.
His analysis of their strategies concludes that “they are using the Nazi playbook”, for example, by actually helping destitute people when the government is doing nothing but bringing the people into poverty and endangering their lives (ie, no medications available for people who require it to stay alive). In return the Golden Dawn asks for favors such as clothing donations, funding, and political support (which is now estimated at 20 percent and growing)… all very reasonable in my opinion.
The problems start to occur when you have the Greek police telling people to call the Golden Dawn to deal with problems related to so called “immigrants”, or people who look like “immigrants”. This YouTuber claims something like 80 percent of the police force are voting for the Golden Dawn (probably because they work together), and much of the policing is now being handed over to the Golden Dawn because the police don’t have enough funding due to the brutal austerity imposed by the EU.
This scenario is reminiscent of Nazi “Brown Shirts” policing in 1930′s Germany. See my article about the Golden Dawn “Black Shirts” attacking multicultural vendors HERE.
Near the end of the video there is some discussion of the Golden Dawn’s plans to reconquer Constantinople Turkey… hmmm… and also some mention of their desire to reconquer other areas, like the Black Sea region. This is the first I’ve heard of this Greek expansion desire, but it does sound more than a little problematic.
At the end of the video our YouTuber mentions the Golden Dawn opening a branch in New York. I’ve heard the Golden Dawn are opening branches in Australia and Spain, and one is planned for Canada…. see my article about this HERE.
