In the latest issue of GQ UK, Claire Danes reveals that she could potentially inspire 2013′s biggest possession picture as the Emmy-winner experienced a paranormal activity of her own at a young age.
At the age of 6, Claire was put into therapy after she began seeing visions of ghosts, gargoyles crawling around her ceiling and demons in the shower. She even claims that one spirit forced her into a contorted position for 30 minutes! READMORE HERE
But western eyes don’t see what people of other cultures see. Mind blind, western cultures block out the existence of other dimensions and the supernatural. For Western mind, evil, in the form of real demons, is often “superstition.”
Or even crazy.
For those with strong doubt, the supernatural sometimes answers their skepticism.
One night, frustrated, I questioned our religion. I knew there was a God, but I needed confirmation that there are demons. My family would say, “that’s demonic” whenever I wanted to explore other options. It’s easy for me to speak about our Lord because I have confirmation in my heart and personal experiences; I don’t know why (other than because I was a teenager) but I asked God if he could show me a demon. It came out of my mouth (I often speak to God out loud) and I wasn’t thinking.
That night, I was awoken. I felt a presence behind me; it was calling me (not by my name or even in a verbal sense). I turned and saw an average height figure standing next to my bed. It was dressed as if in a black grim reaper costume complete with a hood over its head and wearing black gloves. i have had this experience although i didnt ask to see a demon, i was stressed and not in a good place in my life i had sleep paralysis in the middle of the night and a figure like that the hooded figure she describes came into the room. i tried to get up i couldn’t terrified i fought until i jumped up after what seemed like an eternity of struggle screaming at the thing and punched the air. terrified i turned on the light it was gone. I went back to bed and began praying.it was very scary.then the next night the same thing happened. same figure same sleep paralysis but on this occasion i knew it was the devil and although scared(remember i saw it walk into the bedroom again same dark hooded figure holding its hand up like there was a knife in it ready to strike.(was it death) i prayed to jesus and for micheal arch angel guardian angel to protect me.I was still scared but more relaxed confident it would go away. until I woke up fully. the third night same thing but i was more relaxed and i prayed more it left and didnt come back.This experience is terrifying and very real. i will never forget it.
