If you’re not, ask yourselves why Preppers have been slandered by the mainsteam media for years, slammed for the derogatory “stockpiling” of supplies – which may have kept you from being ready for something like Sandy.
Ask your congressman “Why?” Ask your local newspapers and TV stations, “Why?”
“Natural” disasters are part of life.
But what if the United States Government is preparing for something not not quite so “natural” and want you helpless against it?
You might find one answer in the FEMA” CAMP SYSTEM set up “to detain US citizens in the event of an uprising or civil unrest” – or anything else we might not be ready for, like Sandy?
Today, the media owes you a massive apology (Hah! Fat chance!) because if the-preppers-are-right, they are the only ones making do in the wake of superstorm Sandy.
If anyone asks you what you’re preparing for, just say, “Another Sandy”.
Preppers are the new prophets,, deniers are the new homeless – the tin-foil party hats vs the Lead-lined skullcaps – who survived Sandy?
Whats wrong with being prepared my grandpa and grandma were preppers they lived through the depression,am i worried for my family damn right,do i have the right to self preservation damn right,i aint no kook,i work everyday and keep my eyes and ears open, self preservation is a god given right,im not hurting anyone keep to myself,i like my job i can help young people everyday and i enjoy it,our young people are our future and a lot of them are up to date with current events, surprises me,being ready for a sandy is common sense in my book.
Good point! I never thought of the folks that endured the Great Depression as preppers, but that’s exactly what they were.
They knew the government, the banks and employers could not be relied upon for anything in a real crisis. Anyone that *did* rely on any one probably suffered for years because of that misplaced trust.
They didn’t necessarily hate government or banks or employers. They just learned not to be the sucker dependent on any one of them in bad times. They will ALWAYS take you down with them.
Yes it is a good idea to be prepared for natural weather related disasters. Having enough non-perishable food, water, medicine, etc. Although there is always people who take it to the extreme with buckets of seed, undergound bunkers and enough firepower to stop a small country.
Nope, I’m a prepper because nearly every year we get snowed in for at least 1 month.
Sounds to me like some people just love to bitch. With FEMA it doesn’t matter what they do, they are damned if they do their job preparing for disasters, and damned if they don’t. People who accuse them of creating detention camps,.. their cheese has slid off their cracker.

Not another statement from LALALAND er LAYNALAND.
Conspiracies theories??? There’s no conspiracies theories! Only conspiracies “FACTS”!
Preparation is the key to humanity’s survival. Read Great Waves of Change and Life in the Universe by Marshall Vian Summers.
