The body of a man, who disappeared two days ago, was located in the Cutzamala River, in the colony Tulips in Pungarabato, with at least two gunshots to his body.
The man was identified as Fernando Lopez Sotelo, “The Donut”, 37, originally from Atoyac of Álvares, who worked for a tortilla factory in Altamirano. Two days had gone by since he was missing and the family was unaware what had happened.
According to the official report, about noon they found the body thrown into the river after fishermen reported the sighting to the police.
The body had tied hands, was shot once in the chest and another shot in the face. He wore jeans, a shirt and no shoes.
Police had arrived on the scene and during the inquiries relatives identified the body and confirmed that two days had passed since they had seen Fernando.
It was not known how he came to be Cutzamala River. Authorities do not know what happened and how the man disappeared.
The killing of Fernando Sotelo is the first death to happen in the last two months in Pungarabato and the first of the current city administration.
