Hundreds of parents living in the Barnsley area of the U.K. were shocked to  learn recently that their young children had been improperly vaccinated with the  wrong vaccines, some more than three years prior to being notified about the  serious blunder. The U.K.’s Daily Mail reports that the unidentified  doctor responsible for the mix-up administered the botched vaccines to at least  221 children, all of whom are now being offered “replacement” vaccines to  supposedly make up for this monumental medical error.
Beginning in  January 2009, the affected children were mistakenly given combination vaccines  for diphtheria, whooping cough (pertussis), polio, tetanus, Haemophilus  Influenzae Type b (Hib), and measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR), when they should  have been given the jabs individually in accordance with proper medical  procedure. According to national health guidelines, such vaccines are only safe  and effective when given individually rather than in combination with one  another, which means the children that received the massive combo vaccine have  been put at serious health risk.
