Calgary Stampeders mascot Marty the Horse is reportedly in a very bad mood after the Toronto Argonauts defeated the Stampeders 35-22 in the CFL championship game.
This photo was taken during halftime in the pasture where Marty was staying in the Niagara region of southern Ontario.
Marty turned on his buddy “hound dog Calhoun” in the fourth quarter as the game was slipping away from the Stampeders. Marty was seen kicking fences, spouting out obscene neighs and just being an overall miserable horse as it became clear his beloved Stampeders had tanked in the big game.
Earlier in the week Marty was the life of the party as he trotted all over downtown Toronto becoming a 4 hoofed bona-fide celebrity. He even made it into the lobby of the Royal York hotel.
Marty was fed gourmet carrots and seemed to be really enjoying himself.
At a bar along Queen street Marty started into the Keith’s lager. It was reported by an insider that Marty’s handler had to drag the ungulate out of the bar as Marty seemed quite inebriated after downing 18 draft beers.
But how a football game can change the mood of a horse. Recent insider information report that Marty jumped over his fence and galloped straight to the nearest saloon. Witnesses say Marty has been downing draft beer after draft beer and is starting to stagger. Marty should realize that drinking excessive amounts of booze to quell disappointment just leads to an extremely painful hang-over. Marty is going to have an aggravating, long and cold trip back to Calgary in that horse trailer tomorrow morning.
