President Assad had previously said that if Syria was invaded, in lieu of the civil war, his missiles would land in Telaviv. Recently, the Arab League and France have fully recognized the Syrian united opposition as the bonafide representative of the people, instead of Assads regime. Hamas is clearly being used as proxy for Assad to escalate an ungoing conflict against long time hated Israel under the auspices of Iran.

This maneuvering will shift the focus from Assad’s regime to Israel and hopefully Assad may recover from the int’l political fallout in the wake of 30,000 Syrians dead:
