(Before It's News)

Well here it is 21 December 2012 ans Were still here. Just like the calendar from 2009 that was taken from my wallet. Must work on the tidy bit, but I’ve outlived several calendar’s in my lifetime. All of them has been outside a bunker or a building with bulletproof glass and massive supplies. No zombies have, (Because I haven’t any), eaten a hole in my heard in search of brains. Yes I dod believe the world will end, just not the way that many others do.

I woke up this morning and done an inventory check and found all limbs intact and working like a rusty hinge which is normal for my age and mileage, so I carried on with my day. I took a shower and missed being attacked as in the Alfred Hitchcock film. Then I ate and went to the grocery. No bird’s tried to kill me and all was well in my rear window, so Alfred was 0-3 today. I brought home the groceries and was even brave enough to plan a trip out for lunch.

I go out for a bite and the motorway was brisk with tourist and holiday shoppers as one would expect. Gas prices had risen “after’ I filled up which was a bit freaky I must admit. Blood pressure rose as I had to use brakes in an exsessive manner and all seemed fine. I waked into the eatery and grabbed a seat. The place is busy with the normal lunch bunch and tourist. The line is long with Touron’s and yuppies on their phone but the lady was rushing things along and a good pace so no need to blow mt stack or wish for a bat. I placed my order and began to wait.

Now I know dear reader this is about where you expect me to rant, rave, and slobber like a madog, but not this time. I was able to get my food quite fast and sat there having a great meal and thinking as I watched the world pass.

I always thought that Christmas had a magic to it even as I went down memory lane and smelled all the burt turkeys and ham ghost’s of Christmas Past. Were still here, breathing and have a chance of another day or warm memory. As you know many will not have a good holiday due to recent events in this every maddening world in which we live. We all know the feeling or will know the feeling of loss in our lives so our hearts can’t help but be touched.

If you choose to thank God or not, you can’t help but feel grateful for another chance to enjoy live, and all that comes with it, good and bad. Let us take this chance to do our best to make it a better place for us all or at least those around us. Sure the task is big, but nothing we can’t handle together. Merry Christmas to all and may the star of hope burn brightly in you and those around you during the coming year. Oh yeah, one more thing. Let us remember that from now on a calendar that expires is just that. Now be a good lad and put it in the rubbish where it belongs.
