Over the past weekend, a number of 30 websites owned by the Egyptian government were taken down by Anonymous hackers as part of OpEgypt.
The list of victims includes the sites of the Presidency, the Maritime Transport Sector, the Egyptian Accreditation Council, the Armed Forces, the Parliament, Ministry of Interior, the Large Taxpayer Center and many others.
It’s uncertain if the hacktivists have launched distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks against these sites or if the servers they are hosted on have been breached.
