Chiefs Player Jovan Belcher Dead At 25 In A Murder Suicide

Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher fatally shot his girlfriend and then took his own life on Saturday morning, according to various reports.

As reported by KCTV in Kansas City, police confirm that the 25-year-old Chiefs player shot and killed his girlfriend at a private residence before taking his own life outside the team’s facility.

According to the Kansas City Star, police confirmed that Belcher was the player involved. The Star had previously reported that the player involved was confronted by team personnel in the parking lot outside the team’s facilities before taking his own life. Citing unnamed sources, Mike Garafolo of USA Today and Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports also name Belcher as the player involved.
