U.S. singer Madonna landed Monday in the Argentine capital to kick off a tour during which she will give two concerts in Buenos Aires and one in the city of Cordoba.
Madonna arrived early Monday at Jorge Newbery Airport in Buenos Aires with all the equipment, props, personnel and apparel needed for the show, including a 700-piece wardrobe and microphones of gold, silver and lead, the official news agency Telam said.
The artist will perform on Dec. 13 and 15 at El Monumental stadium in Buenos Aires, home of the capital’s River Plate soccer team, and will say farewell on Dec. 22 with a concert at the Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium in Cordoba, the nation’s second-largest city.
The MDNA Tour promoting her 22nd disc – entitled “MDNA” – includes Madonna’s third trip to Argentina, where she previously appeared in 1993 and 2008.
The singer arrived in the country after giving concerts in Mexico, Colombia and Brazil as part of a long tour that had also covered Europe and the United States.
