ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An attempted armed robbery went bad quickly for the gunman Friday night when a store clerk pulled out his own weapon and began blasting away.
The would-be robber and the clerk exchanged gunfire in the PDQ gas station and store at Fortuna Road and Coors Boulevard SW at about 8:30 p.m., according to Albuquerque police.
The clerk was not injured and told officers he didn’t know if he hit the robber who fled into the night.
