MUFON Meets in France To Discuss Expansion
MUFON international expansion culminates in Paris meetings
A series of meetings in France on January 11, 2013, tops off a year-long push for more international organization and members for the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).
MUFON Executive Director David MacDonald left his Cincinnati headquarters with his sights firmly set on Paris to discuss further international expansion. MUFON is the world’s largest and most organized UFO study organization.
“We now have National Directors, Regional Directors, Field Investigators and general members in 39 countries,” MacDonald said. “In 19 of those countries we have National Directors with fully organized, fully functional MUFON chapters encompassing a devout following of UFO enthusiasts numbering into the five figure range. Europe and South America are fully engaged in this effort.”
MacDonald described the Paris meeting as one of the most prestigious conclaves of UFO Directors in the history of Ufology.
“MUFON National and Regional Directors as well as Directors of the Académie d’ Ufologie from all over Western Europe will be in attendance as well as representatives and members from many of the most highly respected research organizations the world has to offer.”
MacDonald said MUFON has reached out to the world in a gesture to unite researchers on a global scale.
“Although each group will maintain their own independence there will be the open sharing of ideas and information which will result in the first truly global network of its kind dedicated to solving one of the greatest mysteries of our time.”
“After some time to recuperate for the travel we will be having intimate meetings with the MUFON National Directors and Regional Directors for France, Italy and several other nations. Additionally, I will be meeting with Xavier Passot from Geipan. There are also press conferences and interviews planned for the day.
“More rounds of meetings and conferences, press interviews and wrapping up with a large open meeting that evening where I will be giving a presentation of MUFON – who we are, our history, vision and our international endeavors to create a truly global force in ufology. Saturday the pace should slow down a bit with one or two press interviews and hopefully a little downtime.”
