We ended up with15″ of snow here at the homestead. I was awoken by thundersnow around 2 a.m. It took me a moment to figure it out. I thought a plane was flying way too low. This is the third time I have experienced thundersnow, very cool phenomenon.
Every one is very warm and happy though. Lambs hid in the barn, unable to follow their mothers into the deep snow, a neighbor drove his tractor equipped with a plow into town, clearing the roads for us all.
And over course the pipes froze under the house last night. The upside is the snow insulates the house itself, keeping things a bit warmer. It was too deep for me to venture out myself. My fear of falling kicked into high gear. Not quiet ready for all that. Though I wanted to.
