India on high alert after deadly bombings

At least seven people have been killed  and 47 people injured after three bomb blasts struck the southern Indian city of
Hyderabad.

“There have been three blasts and seven people are dead and 47 people have been rushed to hospital with injuries,” an official in the police control room told AFP news agency on Thursday, adding that one of the explosions occurred in a small suburban eatery.

The blasts were about 10 minutes apart and occurred near a movie theatre and a bus station.

Police say they are trying to determine the cause of the explosions.
