Pope Benedict; what did he blow and when did he blow it?
I was baptized into the Christian faith at a Lutheran orphanage on the banks of the River Rhine in 1955.
With both of my parents in attendance.
It was fundamental to Luther’s anti-papist propaganda that all adherents of the papist cult were destined for the flames of hell.
And while I have long ago abandoned the more abhorrent strictures of my creed, the travails of this Pope still evoke a whiff of schadenfreude.
At the same time, I think it’s way too early to pass judgement on what has caused the first resignation of a sitting pontiff in 600 years.
A black-mailed and/or black-mailing gay sub-culture within the Vatican seems a little too glib an explanation. That’s a long-standing reality of Vatican politics and has never before caused a papal resignation, so why now?
But pile that on top of the never-ending abuse scandals involving priests around the world, and the never-ending financial scandals, and the never-ending cover-ups of both the above… maybe Pope Benedict has just had enough.
Let him live out his life in peace.

The disgusting Catholic Church has had hundreds of years of corrupt dealings to cover up, not only involving finance but with the encouraged rape and murder of little children. The fallen church cannot hide such things anymore as they cannot control the spread of damning information via the Internet. Good bye and good riddance , may all of you parasites that have offended, cheated and defiled the good people of the world get what is coming to you. You are only lucky that I can’t get my hands on you to distribute some sorely needed justice. Bring back public hangings and get rid of these vial creatures once and for all!!!!!!!!!
This is exactly why Christ had to come down from Heaven to redeem the lost. Having reserved His harshest rebuke for the “Church Leaders” calling them a den of thieves and vipers. 2000 years later His rebuke has not been applied by the church.
Whenever man puts himself between God and you man perverts the message by applying non-doctrinal rules and regulations pursuant to man’s interpretation of God’s Word and not Jesus’ explanation of His Father’s nature and character and the interpretation of what God meant in the scriptures.
For when the church leaders questioned why Jesus was hanging with the “Undesirables” instead of the priestly class. Jesus stated: “I did not come to save the Saved but I came to save the unsaved”.
Jesus stated that His message was that of all the commandments there two simple but Great commandments to follow, and that all the prophets and Law hinged on them. Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
Jesus made it very simple to follow Him. Man created the hypocrisy and barriers to make your journey with faith, a much more difficult and costly one.
