Woman Burned Alive After Being Accused Of Using Witchcraft (Graphic Photo)

An extremely cruel barbaric act took place in Papua New Guinea on February 6th.The Huffington post is reporting that a woman age 20, was stripped naked ,tortured then doused with gas and set on fire in front of hundereds of people .The woman was accused of using witchcraft on a boy who had died earlier in the week.
Police and firefighters tried saving the young woman but were chased back by a hostile mob.
Agence France-Press writes that the woman “admitted to killing the boy, who died after being [hospitalized] with stomach and chest pains on Tuesday.”
According to the BBC, police chief Supt Kaiglo Ambane told local media that those responsible for Leniata’s murder would be brought to justice.
The U.S. Embassy and Australia’s high commissioner have condemned the murder. In a statement featured in a report by the Australian Associated Press, Papua New Guinea Prime Minister Peter O’Neill said that “no one commits such a despicable act.“
