US expels 2 Venezuelan diplomats in tit-for-tat move

Two Venezuelan diplomats have been expelled from the US in retaliation for Venezuela ordering two US military attaches to leave Caracas last week, said a State Department official. The two mid-level diplomats, Second Secretary Orlando Jose Montanez Olivares and Consular Officer Victor Camacaro Mata, were ordered to leave the country on Saturday. Venezuelan officials have accused the US of being responsible for Hugo Chavez getting ill with cancer. The US and Venezuela haven’t had ambassadors posted in each other’s capitals since 2010.
