The Center for Economic Policy and Research (CEPR) is suggesting that Americans stop working so much to assist in stopping global warming. By using the Western European Working Model, the US could reduce the temperature of the planet by 50% by 2100.

CEPR states in a recent study that there is a direct correlation between a shorter work week and lower CO2 levels. A combination of productivity and a culture of consumption are causing climate change.

This new angle on the “humans are the problem” ideology, states that should the US stop working so much than the threat of global warming will subside.

David Rosnick, economist and author of the study maintains: “The relationship between [shorter work and lower emissions] is complex and clearly understood, but it is understandable that lowering levels of consumption, holding everything else constant, would reduce greenhouse gas emissions.”

Rosnick says that a portion of man-made climate change is unavoidable; however “reducing emissions by other means, a significant reduction in climate change is possible by choosing a more European response to productivity gains rather than following a model more like that of the United States.”

Should the American work week be reduced to 10 hours per week by 2013, technology could take over where humans are no longer contributing. Rosnick asserts: “We can get a similar amount of work done as productivity and technology improves. It’s something we have to decide as a country—there are economic models in which individuals get to decide their hours and are still similarly productive as they are now.”

Alarmists are bringing the idea that the planet is at the precipice of major changes to the forefront. It is humans, according to the ideology, that are the “geological force” that is directly altering the Earth.

An exhibit at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History entitled “Seasons of Change: Global Warming in Your Backyard,” educates visitors on exactly how humanity is devastating the planet and that the negative consequences of this trend will affect them in their lifetime.

David Skelly, participant in the exhibit, said: “We don’t think about how the changing climate will change the way we live. Rather than arguing about whether this storm or that storm has been caused by climate change, this is about what we might expect in the future.”

Katherine Haydoe, alarmist and evangelical climatologist for Texas Tech University maintains: “Science is not opinion; it’s not what we want it to be. You can’t make a thermometer tell you it’s hotter than it is. And it’s not just about thermometers or satellite instruments. It’s about looking in our own backyards, when the trees are flowering now compared to 30 years ago, what types of birds and butterflies and bugs we see that … used to be further south.”

Haydoe co-authored the climate assessment report published this month by National Climate Assessment and Development Advisory Committee (NCA-DAC).

The NCA-DAC is connected to the US Global Change Research Program (GCRP) which works with “federal research on changes in the global environment and their implications for society.”

This relationship was created by Congress with the Global Change Research Act of 1990. This legislation outlined “a comprehensive and integrated United States research program which will assist the Nation and the world to understand, assess, predict, and respond to human-induced and natural processes of global change.”

The Yale Project on Climate Change Communication (YPCCC) is injecting propaganda into the American social meme to convince the general public that man-made global warming is real and their fault.

The YPCCC, through alleged scientific study , has surmised that climate change skeptics lack fundamental cognitive capabilities which impede their ability to grasp complex concepts. In other words – the globalists think skeptics are stupid.

The globalist college conducted a research study that states climate skeptics do not understand the science behind climate change and “if Americans were more proficient in technical reasoning”, they would believe in climate change.

The Yale study, which sampled 1,500 adults in the US, was funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) in association with the Cultural Cognition Project (CCP) at Yale Law School.

The CCP is an interdisciplinary group of self-proclaimed “experts” who focus their attention to surmising how cultural memes effect the perceived risk and policy beliefs.

“The aim of the study was to test two hypotheses,” said Dan Kahan, the Elizabeth K. Dollard Professor of Law and professor of psychology at Yale Law School and a participant of the study team. “The first attributes political controversy over climate change to the public’s limited ability to comprehend science, and the second, to opposing sets of cultural values. The findings supported the second hypothesis and not the first.”

Yale University defines cultural cognition is the process individual groups perceive societal risks. This term “refers to the unconscious tendency of people to fit evidence of risk to positions that predominate in groups to which they belong.”

The study concludes that individuals with egalitarian values disagree with individuals with individualistic vales in terms of risk; such as nuclear power, gun possession, HPV vaccine, etc . . .

Yale researchers measured “science literacy” with props provided by the NSF. Those who participated in the study were also judged on their ability to understand quantitative information.

In another Yale study there was the assertion that global warming would lead to an intensifying of diseases such as AIDS/HIV, dengue, Lyme disease, and tuberculosis.

Gerald Friedland, professor of medicine and epidemiology and public health, warns “[that] the environmental changes wrought by global warming will undoubtedly result in major ecologic changes that will alter patterns and intensity of some infectious diseases.”
