Lionel Messi Becomes First Player in History to Score Against All 19 League Teams

Argentine soccer star and FC Barca player Lionel Messi has achieved another performance record by becoming the first player in league history to score at least one goal against every team.

La Liga is made up of 19 teams and the star forward has scored against each of them.  In his last 19 league games Messi, 25, scored 29 goals.  The last time he failed to score in a game was November 3, 2012.

This incredible feat comes on top of Messi winning a record fourth-straight Ballon d’Or.  In 2012 the Argentine scored a record-setting 91 goals surpassing the 1972 record set by Gerd Muller for 85 goals.

Messi apparently is unstoppable.

The only place where Messi has dropped in rankings is in earnings.  Just last month England’s David Beckham pulled ahead of Messi to become the world’s highest-earning soccer player for 2012.

Messi came in with a 35 million euros paycheck ($45 million) versus 36 million euros ($46.6 million) for Beckham.
