Detroit police dumping homeless outside city
After a year-long investigation, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has accused Detroit police officers of “kidnapping” homeless people and stranding them in other areas, often outside the city limits.
The ACLU has filed the complaint with the Department of Justice, demanding that Detroit Police stop the “disturbing practice” of literally driving away the homeless and leaving them to fend for themselves in unfamiliar areas outside of the city center.
