The Truth Behind The News

Occupy Corporatism

Recently Rahm Emanuel’s words “you never want a serious crisis to go to waste”, never made more sense.
Propaganda abounded as President Obama appeared on mainstream television in Chicago to speak to residents about supporting stricter gun laws to create a safer city.
Referencing Sandy Hook and the recent tragic shooting of Haydiya Pendelton, honor student who performed at Obama’s inaugural celebration, the president said: “It’s not unique to Chicago. It’s not unique to this country. Too many of our children are being taken away from us.”
Citing that an over-whelming amount of Americans are asking the Obama administration to control access to guns, the president repeated that “common-sense proposals to make it harder for criminals to get their hands on a gun.”
Wayne LaPierre, vice president of the National Rifle Association (NRA), stated that Obama’s State of the Union (SOTU) address was a “charade” regarding Obama’s want to protect American children.
LaPierre said: “It’s not about keeping kids safe in schools…They only care about their decades-long, decades-old gun control agenda. In an hour-long speech, nowhere were the words ‘school safety’ to be found. Just think about that. Less than two months after saying we had to look at our schools, the president made not one mention in his entire speech of the need to improve security for our schoolchildren.”
Obama said in the SOTU that 2nd Amendment supporters were clamoring for “commonsense reform” on access to guns, background checks and resale of firearms. He went on to say that: “Police chiefs are asking our help to get weapons of war and massive ammunition magazines off our streets, because these police chiefs, they’re tired of seeing their guys and gals being outgunned.”
Vice President Joe Biden used pressure on the Colorado State House to have preliminary passage of 4 new gun control bills while “vacationing” in Aspen. Biden used his connections with Democratic legislators for support of 15 round limits on gun magazines and universal background checks for transfers of gun ownership.
State Representative Tony Exum relayed that Biden was “watching” Colorado legislatures and “asked if we had a chance to move these bills forward and said what an important signal it would send to the country if we do.”
House Minority Leader Mark Walter countered Biden’s supporters by saying: “We have no evidence that passing this in any way increases public safety. But we’re going to pass it anyway. We’re going to put 700 Colorado working families’ livelihoods in jeopardy on a hunch, on a guess, nothing more than a guess, that this bill is going to have an impact on public safety.”
Biden was in Philadelphia decrying that there is “a real sense of urgency” with regard to pushing gun control restrictions on the federal and state levels. Biden spoke with police chiefs and Mayor Michael Nutter.
Biden admonished: “We can’t wait, we cannot wait, the images of those innocent little children being riddled with bullet holes has gripped the conscience of the nation, and the nation is demanding that we act responsibly.”
The Vice President explained earlier this month that the “legitimate news media” was needed to assist the Obama administration in coercing the public into supporting federal gun control. Biden said mainstream media were telling the “truth” about the White House’s position on the federal gun grab.
Biden said: “To be very blunt with you, we’re counting on all of you, the legitimate news media to cover these discussions because the truth is that times have changed.”
He also remarked that there continues to be a misrepresentation of the Obama administration’s intentions on gun control and the mainstream media was necessary to keep the US citizens informed as to the perspective the federal government wanted them to have.
Nintey percent of mainstream media is owned by corporations such as General Electric, News Corp, Disney, Viacom, Time Warner and CBS.
The privately owned hedge fund Alden Global Capitol (AGC) owns most of the printed news by investment. Using derivatives to fund their operation, AGC another financial institutions who own the media make sure that pro-bank articles are written more often than not.
Obama is utilizing his propaganda machine Organizing For Action to mobilize volunteers to campaign on the local level, as well as apply more pressure to lawmakers.
Through local chapters strategically placed throughout the country, OFA will train volunteers to rally their local elected officials and state senate leaders to back Obama’s push for certain legislation; such as gun control laws, public education, Obamacare, environmental issues, renewable sources of energy and immigration reform.
In Wisconsin, Democrats are pushing drafted legislation that “would ban civilian possession of hollow point or frangible ammunition.”
This strange bill would render hunters unable to hunt deer or bear; however the purpose of this bill is yet to be understood.
s.NR 10.09(1)(c)2 states: “no person shall hunt any deer or bear with any air rifle, rim-fire rifle, any center-fire rifle less than .22 caliber, any .410 bore or less shotgun or handgun loaded with .410 shotgun shell ammunition or with ammunition loaded with nonexpanding type bullets or ammunition loaded with shot other than a single slug or projectile.’ The bill draft does not provide an exception to the prohibition on possessing expanding bullets for deer or bear hunting.”
