Here is an alternative method to keeping compost in a bin: you can simply create a big old pile instead!
You don’t have to turn this pile! You just add the good stuff that you would add to the bin: food scraps, green garden waste and brown garden waste. Throw in some hay, sprinkle some water over it and stick in a nifty, inexpensive device for aeration!
You will have perfect compost in 4 months to enrich and fertilize your garden soil.
