(Before It's News)

Richie Sambora has Personal issues,” and the Bon Jovi guitarist will miss most of the upcoming band tour through the United States, the band spokesman announced late Tuesday. However, “All shows will go on as scheduled,” reports NJ.com on Wednesday, April 3.

“Due to personal issues, Richie Sambora will not be performing on this upcoming leg,” was all the announcement said about the situation, but all fans know Sambora has had problems in the past with substance abuse. His most recent stint in rehab was in 2011.

Comments have been pouring in to the Bon Jovi website, but most of them are being deleted, angering the fans they should most want to satisfy. “So the moderator is just going to delete posts and ignore the fact that dissatisfied long time customers may want refunds on their tickets?” asked one fan. Richie Sambora’s issues may be personal, but he has a following of his own, and many advance sale tickets may have been bought with his performance in mind. It isn’t fair not to make refunds available.

Sambora, 53, may be ill, but he could just need to get his act together. The New Jersey native tweeted, just hours before the announcement, that he was “Watching more of the ‘Every Road Leads Home To You’ cover videos,” which promotes a track from his recent solo album, “Aftermath of the Lowdown.” Could there be clues in the music?

  • Maybe he finally got tired of playing with a guy named Bon Jovi, in a band called Bon Jovi, with a first album Bon Jovi on a tour probably called Bon Jovi. Not that ego would be involved.
