Shots Fired at Security Officer at Nuclear Plant in TN

Security Guard was on patrol Sunday morning at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant in TN, when several shots rang out hitting officer’s vehicle. Security officer fired several rounds back at suspect.
The suspect appeared to be on the grounds of the plant and may have escape away in a boat.
This all happen after 2:00AM, close to the TN River on the east side of the nuclear plant’s southern border. The security officer was 100′s of yards away from the reactor and power equipment that’s in a protected area.
TVA Jim Hopson said, some information can’t be released as of yet, such as the identity of the security officer. Security officer has no description of the suspect.
