WuAssualtAn Army Officer was minding his own business last week when he was suddenly assaulted in a busy Walmart in Albany, NY. According to reports, Yiqiang Wu, screamed offensive comments regarding the U.S. and the soldier’s service to the nation.

‘It looks like he displayed a great deal of restraint which is consistent with the armed forces, law enforcement and public service,” said Officer Steve Smith, of the Albany Police Department, referencing the soldier’s response.

The unnamed 43-year old captain suffered bruising to his face and a laceration over his eye and was treated by Albany Fire Department personnel. Wu has been charged with assault and a hate crime.
