So, the thing is, to prevent the spread of disease ‘n’ stuff, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is putting up a hundred large to anyone who can make the humble ol’ condom a little more interesting.
Seriously, they want to see a rethought rubber, one that works better and — and this is crucial — is more fun to use.
“We are looking for a Next Generation Condom that significantly preserves or enhances pleasure, in order to improve uptake and regular use.
“A few examples of work that would be considered for funding:
- “Application of safe new materials that may preserve or enhance sensation;
- “Development and testing of new condom shapes/designs that may provide an improved user experience;
- “Application of knowledge from other fields (e.g. neurobiology, vascular biology) to new strategies for improving condom desirability.”
Not sure if the condom gun fits into that latter category for non-Germans.
