Tip Of The Iceberg: Police Uncover 140 Cases Of Child Abuse
A police investigation into child abuse at children’s care homes in the UK has uncovered “significant evidence of systemic and serious sexual and physical abuse” dating back decades.
Investigators have found evidence of 140 allegations of abuse between 1963 and 1992 across 18 care homes in North Wales involving crimes committed against boys and girls aged between 7 and 19.
The sad fact remains that this is just a fraction of child abuse carried out in children’s care homes throughout the UK.
North Wales chief constable, Mark Polin, said:
“Offenders quite rightly should have to look over their shoulders for the rest of their lives.
“I took the decision to ask the director general of the National Crime Agency to investigate these allegations last November conscious that some victims of historic abuse may not have the necessary level of confidence in North Wales Police to report these matters directly to us.
“Operation Pallial has now secured accounts from almost all victims who are willing to support an investigation and it makes absolute sense for the officers and staff involved to date to be the core of phase two and to move matters forward as quickly as professionally as possible.”
84 suspects have been named of which 75 are male and 9 are female. 16 of the accused have been named by more than one victim.
While the police and mainstream media focus on celebrities who are accused of being part of a high level pedophile ring operating at the heart of the British establishment, very little has been mentioned about the disturbing number of politicians who victims have named.
