“Every day 22 of my veteran brothers and sisters, who served over there, sacrificed for this country, come back over here and decide that thepainful burden they carry inside them is just to heavy so they end their own lives! Many veterans with combat trauma, like myself, who continue to carry that burden do so by medicating the pain with alcohol or other substances. Many end up incarcerated or homeless. Why is this not the lead story on the news every single night? When are the people of this country who enjoy the freedom we help provide, going to say enough is enough? Our veterans deserve our deepest gratitude and commitment to ensure their well being and the well being of their families no matter what the cost.”
